• Although it varies by route and cost, the Economy Class allowance on piece-concept routes is usually 23 kg per piece. 
• The weight-based allowance for Economy Class is different for weight-concept routes. . 
• For Economy Class, the maximum checked baggage allowance is 23 kg. 
• Further, the maximum weight per baggage on piece-concept routes is 32kg for Business Class. 
• Any bag weighing more than 32 kg must be split up and transported in two or more pieces. 
• Additionally, Star Alliance Gold Card holders are entitled to carry:
  • An extra 1 piece of baggage in the Piece System
  • An additional 20 kilograms in the Weight System

Turkish Airlines Cabin Baggage Allowance

• The maximum size and weight of this baggage should be 23*40*55 cm and 8kg, respectively. 
• Additionally, travelers are allowed to take 1 personal item with maximum dimensions of 40*30*15 cm and a maximum weight of 4 kilograms. 
• Further, travelers are permitted to bring 2 pieces of cabin baggage when traveling in Business Class. 
• The overall weight of the two cabin bags should not be more than 16 kg, with each piece weighing no more than 8 kg and measuring no more than 23*40*55 cm

• Passengers’ baggage is deemed excessive if its width, height, and depth fall between 158 and 292 cm (not including wheels).

• For local flights, oversized baggage fees are USD 110.
• USD 150 is charged for international flights
